Thursday, February 22: “Understanding Redlining” with Myla Cardona-Jones, J.D.

Redlining, a discriminatory practice in the 20th century, systematically denied financial services and opportunities to certain communities, primarily along racial lines. This historic practice has had far-reaching impacts on housing, wealth accumulation, and community development, thereby perpetuating systemic inequality across the United States. Please join Myla Cardona-Jones P ’29 for an evening of interactive discussion that will walk you through the before, during, and aftermath of redlining, with an emphasis on Dayton, Ohio.
This event is free and open to the public. It will take place at the Stuart & Mimi Rose Theater on the campus of the The Miami Valley School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 22.
