The Miami Valley School’s beautiful 22-acre campus remains one of the Dayton area’s best-kept educational secrets. Serving students from early childhood to grade 12, MVS provides students with an unsurpassed educational experience where they can learn, grow and be themselves.

As the only independent, college-preparatory school in the Dayton area, The Miami Valley School offers a rigorous academic program to a diverse group of students from more than 34 surrounding communities. Our small classes, dedicated faculty, challenging curriculum, individualized college-counseling program and competitive athletics provide students with all the tools they need to succeed.

The Miami Valley School graduates go on to the nation's top colleges and universities. Our more than 1,400 active alumni span across the globe, and include corporate executives, a four-time Emmy Award winning actress, an award-winning chef and television personality, and accomplished doctors and physicians.

Independent School Information

Accreditations

The Miami Valley School, a registered non-profit organization, is accredited by the Independent School Association of the Central States and is chartered as a college preparatory school by the State of Ohio. It is a member of both the Ohio Association of Independent Schools and the National Association of Independent Schools.

Membership is also held in the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling.

The school's early childhood program is accredited by The National Association for the Education of Young Children.
