About The Miami Valley School
The
Miami Valley School is Dayton's only independent, nonsectarian, college-preparatory
school. Located on land donated by the Mead family, its program reflects
the vision of those who established the school in 1964. These men and
women sought an educational environment where students could grow and
learn in an atmosphere that fostered diversity, promoted excellence, and
established habits for lifelong learning. Today, nearly 500 students from
an early childhood program through grade 12 respond to the challenging
curriculum and the individual attention that a student-teacher ratio of
9:1 provides.
