4th Grade Art - Landscapes

September 14, 2006 - Fourth grade students examined art as landscape. Looking at landscape paintings for inspiration, the students created their own compositions with one or more figurative forms. The horizon line, images near and far and overlapping images were discussed during the sketching stage. Mixing various hues to create tints and shades, students became familiar with color and the tools used during the process of painting.
