A campus visit provides an opportunity for an informal tour, parent conversation, and assessment of your familiy's needs as you explore independent school education or alternatives to your current learning environment. Plus, meet students, chat with teachers, and see the innovative and individualized programming firsthand. To schedule an informal visit, contact our offices at 937-434-4444 extension 125, email admission@mvschool.com, or complete the online visit request form and indicate your desire to tour campus in the Comments section. > Admission Coordinators and Student Ambassadors are on hand to provide personalized tours of our classrooms, media centers, art studios, performance halls, Outdoor Education Center, and athletic facilities. > Members of the Admission Committee are prepared to discuss your family's needs with an informal conversation about your children, priorities, and expectations. > The Director of Financial Aid is available to answer questions about affordability and financial assistance including demystifying the application process for scholarships and need-based grants. Formal Student VisitAfter the application process has begun, it is important that the student candidate visit campus for a formal visit including a full-day shadowing experience and interview or in-class observation The Miami Valley School requires an on-campus interview for prospective students entering grades 5 - 12 as conducted by a member of the Admission Committee. Completion of the General Application triggers an invitation for a formal student visit; however, families may choose to contact the office to arrange for a mutually convenient time to visit. > Admission staff welcome the student candidate to campus for a full-day shadow with a current student in the student candidate's peer group. > Members of the Admission Committee conduct a formal interview of applicants for grades four through twelve surveying the student candidate's strengths, challenges, and interests. > Admission Team members engage the student candidate in an active learning classroom environment and provide input from observation (all grades) or assessment (grades one, two, and three).  |
