Athletics at The Miami Valley School
The Miami Valley School competes in the Metro Buckeye Conference and fields teams in the following sports: soccer, tennis, basketball, golf, volleyball, cross country, cheerleading, lacrosse and softball, swimming, and track and field. Because athletics is such an integrated component of student learning here, more than eighty percent of upper school students take part in interscholastic sports. The Miami Valley School's excellent sports facilities include two college-length gymnasiums, six all-weather tennis courts, baseball and softball diamonds, a soccer complex featuring three of the finest fields in the Dayton area, and The Lofino Family Athletic Center, completed in 2004. MVS Student athletes have the opportunity to earn physical education credits through their participation in team sports. MVS continues to institute a "no-cut" policy in athletics to encourage any interested students to enjoy the benefits of sports and teamwork. MVS Athletic Mission Statement: |
