Outstanding Volunteer Award

The second annual Volunteer Recognition Breakfast was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the many volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to The Miami Valley School. A highlight of the morning was the presentation of the 2008 Outstanding Volunteer Award to parent Kerry Sutton. Kerry and his wife Susan are the parents of MVS sophomore Taylor and MVS alumnus Ajay ('07).

Headmaster Peter Benedict shared an entertaining story about Kerry's leadership in the purchase of a new school bus this year, as well as details of the many committees and activities where Kerry has contributed his expertise. In addition to his role on the facilities committee and the master planning committee, Kerry has also helped with school maintenance, built sets for school performances, lined the athletic fields for sporting events, and numerous other activities. His involvement covers so many areas of the school community, that Kerry received several nominations outlining his contributions.
