Joyoti Chatterjee, lower school Hindi teacher. Mrs. Chatterjee earned a B.A. in English from Allahabad University in India and a M.S.E. in early childhood education from the University of Dayton. She comes to MVS from Sinclair College. This summer she returned to her childhood school in India to gather curricular resources.
Kelsey Madges, first-grade teacher. Mrs. Madges returns to MVS where she taught first grade from 2002-2004. She earned a B.S. in elementary education from the University of Dayton and more recently a master’s degree from Wright State University. She will assume a leadership role in the creation of a lower school student newspaper and will assist in the development of after-school programming in reading and technology.
Lauren McNeily, early childhood assistant teacher. Mrs. McNeily earned a B.A. in early childhood education from Wittenberg University and holds a M.Ed. from the University of Dayton. She taught kindergarten and directed the preschool at Holy Angels for eight years. Most recently, she has been a substitute teacher at MVS.
Rachel Moulton, head of the upper school. Ms. Moulton earned her B.A. from Antioch College and a M.F.A. from Emerson College in Boston. She came to MVS in 2004 as an upper school English teacher and most recently served as the English department chair and college counselor. She also leads the Immersion Committee, which coordinates the design and selection process for that program. Before joining MVS, Ms. Moulton worked at Antioch College as the director of communications, an assistant to the dean of faculty, and a creative writing teacher.
Danielle Naples, business office. Mrs. Naples holds an honors degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University. She joins MVS after working for the city of Fairborn. In the business office, she will handle a range of responsibilities from state aid to endowment tracking to areas of the benefits program. She is also a professional photographer and looks forward to supporting the school and students with her photography skills.
Nick Raines, director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations. Mr. Raines earned his B.A. in communications and political science from the University of Dayton. He began his fundraising career as an intern at the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation. He continued his career serving as manager for individual giving for the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. Most recently, he served as director of finance for Turner for Congress, generating $1.2 million in contributions per election cycle. Mr. Raines will coordinate communication and events for our 1,100 alumni and direct the annual giving campaign, The Fund for MVS.
Anne Weldon, upper school Spanish teacher. Mrs. Weldon was raised in Cincinnati before attending Centre College and earning a B.A. in English and Spanish. She also earned her master’s degree from Middlebury College in Spanish linguistics. For the past year she studied in Madrid. She is currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Spanish instruction at the University of Cincinnati. Mrs. Weldon will teach, advise, travel on Immersion to Spain, and coach swimming. And, she will get married the first week of school!
Li Zhao, lower school Mandarin teacher. Mrs. Zhao earned her degree from Southwest Jiaotong University in Sichuan, China. She has been teaching Mandarin to lower school students at the Hua Xia Chinese School in Mason, Ohio. Mrs. Zhao looks forward to joining the Mandarin team and sharing her passion for Chinese culture
Paige Zorniger ’08, Outreach and Community Service Coordinator. Ms. Zorniger is a 2012 graduate of Kenyon College, earning a B.A. in anthropology. She has extensive experience working with non-profits in the Dayton community through volunteering and interning for various organizations. She will develop a strong service program that dovetails with the redesign of the advisory program. Her immediate focus will be with the upper school but will expand gradually and naturally to include the entire MVS community.
