On the Town, the 1944 classic musical opens tonight in the Truslow Commons. Featuring 22 upper school cast members and 7 student crew members, the production will run tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday at 7:00 pm.

With music by Leonard Bernstein, On the Town follows 3 young sailors who have landed in New York for 24 hours. The musical starts with one sailor falling in love with a picture of woman leading to her chase around the city at which point musical comedy ensues.

“The script is very funny, and the show features lots of dancing, says Jacob McGlaun, Co-Director of Musical Theatre.

“We selected this musical because it was a great opportunity to showcase our choirs,” Ruth Mappes, Co-Director of Musical Theatre adds.

Those in attendance on Friday night can look forward to a Late Nite Cabaret complete with a mocktail bar hosted by teacher Patti DeLotell. The cabaret will include performances from upper school performing arts course and talented faculty and staff.

Tickets are $12 at the door.
