Ishan and Manish Paranjpe ’14 have been invited to give a performance in Mandarin at Harvard University in Boston on September 22, co-sponsored by Harvard and Confucius Institute of University of Massachusetts. They will play Kuaiban, the traditional Chinese music instrument, and do a twin cross-talk show in Mandarin. They represent the top Mandarin students in United States secondary schools. The audience will be a delegation from the Chinese Council International from China, as well as Harvard students. The Paranjpes’ talents were identified during the Chinese Bridge Competition. Upper school Mandarin teacher Hua Zhang is their advisor.
