Students at The Miami Valley School
 The Miami Valley School community instills a deep appreciation and respect for diversity and cultural differences. Small class sizes and caring faculty result in a safe, familiar atmosphere where students respect and value their surroundings. At MVS, maintaining an environment where students can learn about peers and self is as important as what is taught in the classroom. Students are encouraged to examine moral and ethical issues, develop skills of thoughtful problem-solving and decision-making, and build leadership skills. We offer opportunities to face an array of daily choices and activities. For example, we build free periods into the upper school day, giving students choices about how best to organize their time. We also involve students in the governance of their school community in each division and let them help shape its social life through fund-raising activities that determine social budgets. We also balance a wide range of extra-curricular activities with athletic and fine arts opportunities.
