Position Summary

The User Support Specialist is a new position that will serve the entire community as a front-line technology support resource for employees, students, parents, and other members of the school community. The USS will be expected to respond in a timely manner to support requests via email, text message, phone call, video chat, in-person (when possible), and potentially other media as well while on the job.
Expectations:
The closeness of the academic community is an important aspect of the culture of our small school. Clear communication skills and a positive customer service attitude are a must.
As technology is a constantly moving target, the willingness and ability to learn are also necessities. Experiential on the job training will happen daily and an effective USS must be able to retain and leverage new information efficiently.

Reports to: Director of Technology & Innovation
Skills and Related Experience Preferred:
- a history of technological learning
- tech support and/or customer service experience
- excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- experience with networking, printing, and Google G Suite
- ability to learn and enthusiasm for improvement
- strong logic and observational skills a plus
- ability to identify problems, troubleshoot, and provide solutions unsupervised
- ability to work effectively as part of a team or individually to accomplish specific goals
- high degree of approachability, accessibility, responsibility, and project follow-through
Technical experience and familiarity with the following will be beneficial:
- multiple operating systems: Microsoft Windows, OSX, Android, iOS/iPad OS
- internet browsers, web apps, G Suite
- IPv4 networking
- modern computer hardware care and repair
- online research and technical troubleshooting

The Miami Valley School is seeking an early childhood school assistant teacher committed to developing critical and creative thinkers who collaborate and communicate effectively. This new faculty member will be joining a team that strives to represent the diversity of the MVS community by creating and implementing culturally inclusive and responsive curricula as well as demonstrating a teaching proficiency and comfort with a variety of different teaching and learning styles including The Reggio Method, Waldorf and Montessori.
The early childhood school assistant teacher must be passionate and skillful, eager to invest his/her talents in our early childhood school program. They must establish a supportive and engaging environment for early childhood school students, work collaboratively with colleagues and parents, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a desire to embrace the immersion method into their teaching.
Reports to: Early Childhood Administrator

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist a lead teacher in the early childhood school
- Lead/Co-lead 2 week Mini Immersion
- Assist in developing and proposing new units each year, including new Mini Immersions
- Fulfill all other faculty responsibilities that may occur outside the school day, including writing progress reports and planning, attending school-related functions, which include but are not limited to: Parent Information Night (PIN), Parent-Teacher Conferences, Promotion Ceremonies, Graduation
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or Master Degree
- Desire to work with early childhood school students in an experiential setting

Position Summary

MVS is seeking to add to its Housekeeping and Facilities team. The ideal candidate is dependable and detail-oriented, and results-oriented. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 personnel to ensure the team performs various activities necessary to maintain a sanitary, safe and attractive environment. The Supervisor is responsible for supervising and training personnel in proper procedures such as basic floor care, trash removal, disinfecting surfaces, restocking supplies, maintaining housekeeping closets and equipment. Previous experience is required in janitorial as well as supervising.
Expectations & Requirements:
- Able to work 6pm to 2am (approximate) weekdays
- Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens
- Possess valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years’ janitorial supervisory experience
- Dependable, strong work ethic, takes pride in work, attention to detail
- Professional in appearance
- Takes pride in work
- Ability to work collaboratively with fellow team members to complete the job
Primary Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise and train housekeeping personnel
- Monitor the quality of work and completion of tasks done by all employees.
- Work within budgeted hours to complete required tasks.
- Keep records necessary for daily operations.
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of employees
- Work along-side other housekeeping team members to clean school facilities (i.e. classrooms, offices, multipurpose rooms, grounds, windows, restrooms, carpets, floors, gym, cafeteria) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment
- Collection of trash and recycling
- Replacing trash can liners
- Restocking paper products, cleaning supplies
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping
- Operate mechanical floor cleaners, polishers and vacuums
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Janitorial , Supervising/Management of personnel– 2 years
