Visit MVS
Our campus is an experience you need to see in person. Our doors are open. Come by and see what we are up to.
Grandparents Day is a very special day for the MVS community each year, and the 2016 celebration is sure to be one for the history books.
The 8th grade Ecology class has been diligently working on up-cycled products for their Innovative Business Managers Market Day which will run from 10am-dismissal. Items for sale include Ms. DeLotell’s famous tomato plants, cat toys, various jewelry pieces perfect for mother’s day and much more. All items are cash only and we suggest you shop early (the pieces go fast!).
If you have trouble finding your way to the market, just follow the smell of freshly baked bread being made in the oven by the Z lab greenhouse.
Items for sale at the Innovative Business Managers Market range from jewelry to cat toys to furniture and are all made from upcycled material.
The fun isn’t just outside the walls. Our classrooms will be full of opportunities for grandparents to explore our innovative curriculum and engage in unique learning experiences along with their grandchildren.
“Grandparents day is a very exciting day on our campus,” Director of Development & Alumni Relations Nick Raines explains. “It’s a day that’s all about legacy.”
More surprises will unfold throughout the day, including a special performance by MVS’ own Ars Nova and a talk from keynote speaker Margaret M. Rhoades who has held such prestigious titles as Executive Director of the National Coalition on Health Care and Senior Commision for Public Affairs positions at both the Social Security Administration and the U.S. Office of Education.
The day promises to be engaging, fun and memorable. See you there!
