Congratulations to six MVS choir students, who were accepted to the Ohio All-State Children’s Choir and put on a spectacular performance on February 2, 2023.

The All-State Children’s Choir consisted of 118 children from the state of Ohio. Auditions were held last Spring and students were informed of their acceptance into the choir early this past September. All choir members were required to attend three regional rehearsals, with a culminating all-day rehearsal in Columbus where the children spent the whole day learning from guest conductor Craig B. Knapp. Mr. Knapp is the director of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York’s Children’s Treble Choirs and a distinguished author and educator.

All six MVS students that auditioned for the choir were accepted, meaning that 5% of the All-State ensemble was made up of MVS vocalists. Congratulations to: Ryleigh M. ’29, Grace M. ’29, Emma M. ’29, Gwenyth P. ’29, Bryn R. ’30, Anwita S. ’30, and their teacher,  Deanna Rau!
