We will learn all about community helpers—police officers, firefighters, mail carriers, doctors, etc. We will engage in dramatic play with costumes, and act out out behaviors of community helpers. In doing so children will develop important social/emotional skills and become more comfortable and familiar with the community helpers in their town. Children will to learn and understand their role in a community and to understand that here are safe, friendly people to help them if they get sick or have emergencies.
