Swimmer Katelyn Smittle Sets Two MVS Records, Qualifies for State

MVS ninth grader Katelyn Smittle has qualified for the Division II state meet for swimming and diving after her performance at districts at Miami University on February 19.  Katelyn notched two silver medals at districts and set two new school records with a 2:08.56 in the 200 IM, bettering her sectionals time by over a second, and a 5:09.63 in the 500 freestyle, dropping over three seconds from sectionals. The Division II state meet will begin this Thursday at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, OH. Good luck, Katelyn!
