MVS Quiz Bowl Ranks First in Ohio and Third in the Nation

With all national quiz bowl championships cancelled or postponed, GrogerRanks.com has released its final set of rankings for high school quiz bowl. Here’s a summary:

Miami Valley A finished ranked 3rd overall, behind Hunter College High School (New York, NY) and Millburn High School (Millburn, NJ).

MVS was the #1 Ohio school in the overall Top 100 rankings, finishing ahead of Beavercreek High School (#5), Solon High School (#49), and Northmont High School (#59).

MVS was also the #1 small school and the #1 selective school in the overall rankings, in both cases narrowly edging out University Lab School (Urbana, IL).

Other selective schools in the top fifteen were Phillips Academy Andover (#6), Stanford Online High School (#11), Georgetown Day School (#12), and Detroit Catholic Central (#15).

GrogerRanks.com is the premier statistical ranking organization for high school quiz bowl, comparing data from over 100 quiz bowl tournaments across the United States. Groger Ranks also sponsors a postseason poll for coaches and players, the results of which will be available later in June. Groger Ranks was founded by John John Groger ’20 and William Groger ’21, along with Arjun Nageswaran of Adlai E. Stevenson HS (Lincolnshire, IL).
