On September 27, Niche.com released their 2023 Best Schools rankings, with MVS earning top honors as the #1 overall high school in the Dayton region as well as the #1 private high school and #1 private K-12 school. MVS also earned distinction as Dayton’s #1 school for STEM programs, #1 school for college preparation, and #1 private school for best teachers.

Niche, a Pittsburgh-based data company, compiles its Best Schools list based on academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education; teacher salaries and rankings; racial and economic diversity; and surveys from Niche users, among other metrics.
