MVS has recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) with two 2022 Circle of Excellence AwardsThe school’s advancement department was honored with two national awards, earning a Silver Award in the Annual/Regular Giving Campaigns category and Bronze Award in the Special Events/Online Fundraisers category.

The Silver Award in Annual/Regular Giving was given for MVS’ fall 2021 Annual Fund campaign, “The MVS Annual Fund Allows Us To Say YES!” This multi-level campaign included a series of educational and promotional videos filmed by Dayton-area videographers Agape Media, as well as live experiences, email marketing, and phone campaigns. CASE judges praised the campaign’s data-driven approach to guide messaging, as well as the variety of videos and integrated solicitations.

The Bronze Award in Special Events/Online Fundraisers was given for MVS’ 2021 “Un-Gala,” themed “Outside the Box.” When the pandemic forced last year’s MVS Annual Gala to an online format, MVS responded with an innovative event that included at-home bidding over multiple days, take-home Party Boxes, a digital program designed by Dayton-area business Oregon Printing, and a Big Night livestream auction, again filmed by Dayton’s Agape Media. CASE judges commented, “The variety of party packs, auction items that emphasized experience rather than things, and the overall event theme celebrated the perseverance and resilience of [the MVS] school community.”

CASE’s Circle of Excellence Awards are the premier recognition program for educational advancement. These peer-selected and adjudicated awards honor colleges, universities, and schools worldwide whose talented staff have advanced their organizations with resourcefulness and ingenuity.

“Our CASE Circle of Excellence Awards celebrate the creative, resourceful, and innovative ways advancement professionals around the globe champion their institutions’ success,” says CASE President and CEO Sue Cunningham. “Advancement has never been more important to support and strengthen education. These 2022 Circle of Excellence recipients—from institutions and teams of all sizes and shapes, from regions across the world—showcase how advancement empowers teaching and learning, ignites institutional progress, and helps communities thrive. I hope you take the opportunity to explore these award winners and become inspired.”

In 2022, CASE received more than 4,500 entries from 636 institutions in nearly 30 countries. Of those, volunteer judges 626 exemplary entries for bronze, silver, gold, or Grand Gold recognition.

Winners were selected based on several factors, including overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution or its external and internal communities, such as alumni, parents, students, faculty, and staff.
