Upper School Welcomes Chilean Students

September 25, 2018
Miami Valley School

The MVS upper school gained first-hand knowledge of Chilean culture through a visit from 11 students and their teacher from Concepción, Chile. The 10th graders from the Thomas Jefferson School spent 12 days sharing their culture and traditions with all grade levels through songs, performances, and visits to classes. Many tears were shed when the Chilean friends departed and students are nurturing strong relationships with their South American classmates through ongoing communication.

Next up for international student visitors will be 3 Guatemalan students who will be spending two months in our upper school. The opportunity to host these students in your home is a great way for your family to grow into compassionate and global citizens.
