WYSO recently featured a story produced in 2017 by MVS Alumni Marc Williams and Taylor Felder on The Best of Dayton Youth Radio. The feature, which focuses on what it means to be Black, was replayed in acknowledgement of Black History Month. If you haven’t heard it, listen here!

The story was recorded as part of a project for the Eichelberger Center for Community Voice. Community Voices is all about getting local voices on the air. Through this platform, WYSO gives local voices the time and space to tell their own stories, in their own words, without commercial interruptions.

The program helps local people record essays, poems, and commentaries.

Both Taylor and Marc are now sophomores at Butler University. Marc is studying finance and marketing and Taylor is studying strategic communications.
